Universal Testing Machine

The Universal Testing Machine is supported on a load frame which comprises of two strong supports that impart stability to the equipment. The test specimen is placed between the grips or holding jaws and a specified load is applied on it. A high precision load cell is incorporated in the system for measuring the load. An actuator is generally incorporated for allowing both compressive and tensile forces to be applied. The resulting compression is measured and recorded with the help of a control system and its associated software.

Certain tests require controlled conditions. In such cases there are two options- either the Universal Testing Machine can be placed in a room where temperature, humidity and pressure are duly controlled or a special environmental chamber can be provided around the test specimen.

The Universal Tester is designed to perform a range of tests and is widely used for material testing, product testing, quality control and R&D in various industries. It is strictly manufactured as per ASTM and JIS standards – ASTM E4, ASTM E74 and ASTM E1012 and JIS K7171. The equipment comes complete with a Conformance certificate, User manual and Calibration certificate traceable to NABL approved laboratories.
