The gloss meter is available in different geometries to measure the specular reflection gloss of a surface or a material. The Gloss Meter Tri-angle is used to determine the gloss on a surface and measures the amount of reflected light. The gloss measurement tool is available in different geometries depending on the type of surface.

The Gloss Meter Tri-angle is used on various types of materials like ceramics, paint, paper, plastics, and metals. The instrument is portable, compact, accurate and sensitive available in different models; mains operated laboratory purpose and handy battery operated for measuring the geometry 20, 60, 85 degrees angles. The tool is used to measure the brightness or whiteness of plantation white sugar as well as measures the reflectance of fabrics.

The test provides good correlation with visual gloss or shining of the flat object. The correlation reduces if the sample changes from being flat. The testing procedure has an extensive use to measure partially the surface quality and shining appearance.

Glossmeter Tri Angle is designed specifically to measure the gloss of a particular surface and to ascertain the amount of light which is redirected from the material. It provides great correlation of shining or visual gloss when the sample is placed flat. The correlation of the glass changes if the sample is tilted from the flat position. The procedure is used to measure the shine, appearance, and quality of the products.

The instrument is used for measuring the gloss or brightness of Paints; Opaque Glasses; Plastics; Ceramics; Porcelains; Paper; Cloths; Pigments; Powder etc.

The instrument complies with the international standards of ISO2813, GB/T 9754, ASTM D523, ASTM D2457.
