Indian Standard test method for Plastics – A Method to test the mechanical properties and to analyze the flexural properties of plastics.
The standard test method to analyze the flexural properties of plastic under some specific conditions. A standard size of specimens is considered, but different factors are integrated in – different sample sizes for use wherever required.
The standard method is widely suggested to analyze the flexural behavior of the test specimens and to conclude the flexural strength, flexural modulus and other features of the flexural stress relationship under the defined conditions.
The method is used with products:
Thermotropic liquid-crystal polymers,
Thermosetting molding materials,
Fiber-reinforced thermoplastics and thermoset composites.
