Performing Pull-Out Bottle Cap Removal Test

Bottle cap removal test has been a common practice in bottle packaging industry. As the manufacturer starts packing the content inside the containers, they test every single part of the package material to assure they will be the safest mode of transferring their product to the customer. This involves testing the bottle cap or closures too. Most of the caps are opened by pulling it off and this pull-out force is standardized as per the company requirements. One must use a specified test equipment which can imitate the opening gesture of humans and see if the caps are user friendly or not.

Cap Pull-Out Tester is a material test equipment used to perform pull out test on bottle cap or closures. Suitable for caps which can be opened using pull-force. The machine uses motorized pulling fixtures to hold and pull the caps. Has a digital based read-out system to observe test values during the process. Provides facility for recording the tare and peak hold value. Also available with computer connectivity
The display screen is a microprocessor based program for accurate conversion of recorded force into numeric values. Motorized sample gripping clams are installed which perform the test at an angle of 90 degree. The display screen has a LED Light for Clear vision in poor lighting conditions. Equipped with an in-built calibration system, used for tuning the system as per test standards. Has a load cell capacity of 100 Kgf. Can work with a power supply of 220V AC, 5 Amp, Single phase, 50 Hz. Maintains a standard speed of 300mm/min. Have safety limit switches to restrict the movement. The test values are automatically saved in the memory post-test.
It is to be noted that the bottle neck should be slim enough to be set in the specimen zone. The body height and width can vary.
