Presto solutions for transport engineering and design
In the transport industry, the technology of engineering and design has become more advanced, and safety cannot be compromised at all levels in the industry, from concept design to the stage of production and operation. The manufacturers, OEMs, sub-assembly producers, and aftermarket suppliers have to assure that their components and systems are consistently compliant with the regulatory requirements and industry standards, as well as customer expectations of their reliability and safety.
Mechanical testing is also important to ensure that the product is of good quality and the operations are up to good standards. The force, torque, and materials testing solutions offered by Presto Stantest are capable of offering accuracy in the testing of the components, assemblies, and full systems, provided an environment of controlled conditions is present. Such systems enable the engineers to test performance qualities, identify possible failures, and redesign before products can be served.
Transport makers, engineering companies, and research teams widely use our instruments in the seasoned Indian market and overseas markets. Testing may be conducted at various levels, starting with individual components to entire subassemblies, such that all components will be consistent and reliable during the product lifecycle. Presto systems are also in full conformity to internationally accepted standards like ISO, ASTM, BS EN, DEF, DIN, CEN, MIL, and VDI, giving the assurance that the test results are correct and comparable as well as internationally accepted.
We work on the applications in the railway carrier, trams, trolleys, and other transport systems, evaluating the vital aspects, including chassis designs, body designs, electrical systems, and mechanical subassemblies. Testing is done on fatigue resistance, structural integrity, torque and force requirements, and dynamic performance to ensure safe and long operation in high-stress environments.
Besides rail and urban transport, our mechanical testing skills are also applicable to other industries that have similar structural and fatigue test demands, such as the automotive and aerospace industries, as well as the marine industry. Presto Stantest offers test solutions that are flexible and have high precision. This allows the engineer to determine where the weaknesses might be, optimize the materials, and design consistency in the performance of a production batch to battery.
Having more than 42 years of experience in the field of mechanical testing, Presto Stantest provides the services of reliable, repeatable, and cost-effective systems that assist the transport engineers to meet the challenging requirements of high performance and meet international standards, and to provide safety and longevity of their products in the international markets.

Tensile Testing Machine Digital
It is highly recommended for evaluating the tensile strength of products and materials. The equipment is based on the Constant Rate of Traverse (CRT) principle. It is equipped with an upper jaw and a lower jaw. Universal Tensile Testing Machine is a reliable piece of equipment which is widely used for checking tensile strength of a product/sample. One of the most common mechanical testing techniques used to determine tensile strength, this is a method wherein controlled tension is applied to a sample until it fully fails.
Thus, the material properties of the sample can be easily determined by this test. It involves measuring the force required to elongate a sample under test to breaking point. Using this test, manufacturers and quality managers are able to determine the core strength of their products.

Box Compression Tester Digital
Box Compression Tester is a consistent tool to indicate the Compression strength of cardboard boxes so that it does not get deformed or crushed when stacked one above the other during storage or transit. Cardboard boxes are commonly stacked one on top of the other, during warehousing and storage. So, to ensure that they do not collapse during this, it is necessary to measure their box compression strength. It is based on the principle of measuring the maximum load that the material can withstand without breaking. This process is performed by applying a gradually increasing compression force to a sample until it fails using Box Compression Tester.
Using the equipment, a force-deformation curve can be obtained. This curve helps us evaluate the resistance of a package. It is a reliable equipment that provides accurate information regarding the compressive strength and durability of the package. It enables manufacturers to choose a more resistant packaging and to ensure the contents of the package don’t get damaged during stacking or transit.
Thus, corrugated boxes/cartons/paper packaging can be tested using Box Compression tester. It is widely used to determine compressive resistance, deformation and stacking capability of cartons and corrugated boxes.
