Presto's Melt Flow Index Tester in Nigeria is used by the manufacturers in plastic manufacturing industries to evaluate the flow properties of the molten thermoplastics and granules. The Melt Flow Index of thermoplastic material is defined as the rate of thermoplastics or granules. The melt flow index of thermoplastics is explained as the rate of flow of molten resins through a cylindrical vessel of particular diameter and length. The test is carried out under prescribed conditions of piston position, load, and temperature in a cylindrical vessel inside a heated metallic tube barrel. The instrument is designed especially for the plastic manufacturers in Nigeria. The testing device conforms to various national and international standard test methods.

Presto's Melt Flow Index Tester for Nigeria is designed using user-friendly controls, Microprocessor based PID temperature controller. The temperature range of the instrument can be set from ambient to 400oC. The instrument provides the resolution of 0.1°C with the accuracy ± 0.1°C. The testing machine is designed with a digital presettable timer which provides the range up to 59 minutes and 59 seconds along with the buzzer output. The instrument offers the facility of automatic cutting of the melted sample which ensures smooth operation.
