A Guide to Easily Operate Presto Tensile Tester

A Guide to Easily Operate Presto Tensile Tester

The tensile strength tester is considered to be the best investment in the material testing business. The tensile strength will be defined as the property of the material that will help you to determine how strong the material is if external forces are applied to it. This testing instrument will provide you with prominent and flexible solutions that will help you to evaluate the material's tensile strength. Presto Tensile Tester Computerized cum Digital Model is an advanced testing machine that is used for testing the tensile strength of various different materials used in different industries. The instrument is capable of producing enough force of tensile nature that can give precise and accurate analysis. The instrument is best for quality analysis of materials and products in QC labs as well as mainstream production chains.

Here in this blog, we will be going to discuss the tensile test machine and how you can easily commence the test with the help of this testing instrument. So, let us get started!

Introduction about tensile strength tester

The tensile strength tester-digital cum computerized model will help you to detect the stress required to permanently deform the material. This highly versatile testing equipment will help you to detect the breaking strength of packaging related to raw materials and finished products. The tensile testing machine is mainly used in industries and industrial laboratories for the purpose of studying the tensile properties of various materials. The instrument is provided with a limit switch which acts as a safety feature for the machine and limits the movement of grips of the machine. The out body is fabricated with mild steel which is duly powder coated. There is a digital peak load indicator provided with the instrument for a digital readout of the test results. The limit switch provided with the instrument is one of the best safety features that prevent the collision of grips. Here are the technical specifications of this testing instrument.

How to operate Presto tensile strength tester easily?

If you have purchased the tensile strength test digital cum computerized model from Presto then we suggest you follow this step-by-step guide. We have explained each and every step for commencing the test. Once you install the machine and prepare the specimen accurately, you can easily commence the test by following the steps mentioned below:

  • Start the machine by plugging in the 5 amp switch. Once you place the specimen accurately, then you can, press RESET and TARE to set the value at peak load indicator to zero.
  • After setting the zero on the load indicator, turn the rotary switch to the down direction. This will move the lower grip in a lower direction. Once the movement of the lower grip in the lower direction, there will be an increase in the values shown on the load indicator.
  • Now turn the rotary switch to the off position after the specimen has been fractured. Once the machine stops, the display showing load will return to zero and the elongation display will freeze.
  • Press the Memory switch on the load indicator to show the peak value. Note down the values displayed on the load indicator.

In this way, you can easily commence the test with the help of Presto tensile strength tester digital cum computerized model.
