Melt Flow Index of Polymers is a unique attribute of plastic materials which helps to calculate the chemical and rheological properties of the materials. It is a highly accurate and precise testing machine that accurately calculates the MFI of plastic resins. The MFI of plastic resin is considered as the weight of the resins which flows out from the capillary tube in a period of ten minutes when provided by shear stress and a definite amount of load. The testing process passes the molten plastic granules from a capillary tube of specific dimensions. The exact amount of load is applied to the granules during the test using the piston.
