The Presto Stantest Scuff Resistance Tester is a tool that we use to see how well materials can withstand rubbing. We use the Presto Stantest Scuff Resistance Tester to test things like printed materials, coated materials, laminated materials, and packaging materials. This tester makes it possible to find out what happens to these materials when they are moved around, stored, or handled.
It measures the resistance of printed surfaces by rubbing two specimens together under controlled pressure, speed, and number of cycles, ensuring repeatable and reliable quality evaluation. The equipment conforms to BS 3110 and PATRA/PIRA recommendations for testing methodology and is equipped with 21 CFR Part 11 compliant software.

Q: What is the material finish of the instrument?
A: It is made of mild steel powder coated in a Havel gray & blue combination finish, with bright chrome/zinc plating for a corrosion-resistant finish.
Q: What standards does the equipment conform to?
A: The equipment conforms to BS 3110 and PATRA/PIRA recommendations on testing methodology.
Q: How does the instrument measure scuff resistance?
A: This instrument measures how well printed surfaces can withstand wear and tear. It does this by rubbing two samples. The pressure and speed are controlled.
Q: What is the Presto Stantest Scuff Resistance Tester used for?
A: It is a tool that we use in a laboratory to see how well different materials can withstand rubbing. We are talking about materials like printed things, with a coating, laminated things, and packaging materials. The main goal is to find out how much these materials can resist scuffing or rubbing, which is also known as rub resistance
