The accelerated weathering testers are usually equipped with two types of lights namely, Fluorescent lamps and Xenon lamps. Out of these two lamps, xenon is widely used as they are highly feasible. The xenon lamps are used to measure the actual life of the polymers. These kinds of lamps are filled with xenon and discharge high volume of xenon hence produces sufficient amount of sunshine to measure the effect of heat on the polymers. These lamps offer stable spectrum distribution and offer steady light energy.

The testing machine is equipped with a control panel that controls the humidity and temperatures. The instrument is widely used to create various types of temperatures inside the chamber like sunlight, moisture, and many more that create various effects on the polymers like reduction, fading, flaking, chalking, oxidation and many more.
