SM-PR-2645 is a standard Coca-Cola Company test standard, which defines the method for the test of vertical load resistance (also referred to as top-load strength) of non-refillable (NR) plastic bottles. This standard is particularly used to determine the strength of a column in compressive loading conditions and sets lower thresholds on what the PET bottle can be used for without failing due to the mechanical demands of the industrial filling/capping and warehousing processes.
