We all know PET bottles are commonly used in different industries to deliver and store different materials. These bottles are lightweight and durable and are resistant to easy breakage. But do you know that these bottles should be tested accurately to analyze the weight distribution in different sections of the bottles? To make it easy for the manufacturers to cut PET bottles efficiently, we at Presto have designed high-quality lab testing equipment known as a hot wire bottle cutter. This is one of the high-quality laboratory testing equipment that is used to test the PET bottles for section-wise weight analysis and test whether these PET bottles are efficient to be used for different purposes.

Benefits of using Presto hot wire bottle cutter
- Precise and accurate cuts: The hot wire cutter uses a Kanthal Element wire to create precise and clean cuts in PET bottles, ensuring that the bottle's structure and integrity are not compromised during testing.
- Section-wise weight analysis: The cutter enables users to cut PET bottles into different sections, including the body, neck, and cap, and weigh each section separately. This allows for precise section-wise weight analysis, which can help identify any inconsistencies or imbalances in the bottle's weight distribution.
- Easy to use: The Presto hot wire bottle cutter is designed for ease of use, with simple controls and an intuitive interface that makes it easy to operate.
- Durable and long-lasting: This bottle cutter is made of high-quality aluminum and has a powder coated Havel gray & blue combination finish and bright chrome/zinc plating for corrosion resistant finish. This can ensure that it can withstand frequent use in testing and analysis applications.
Working of Presto hot wire bottle cutter
- To begin, start the machine and position the specimen onto it.
- Adjust the cutting wire by using the length adjusting knobs.
- Once the wires are properly aligned, adjust the heating display using the heating display knob.
- Activate the heating by turning the Heating rotary switch to level 1.
- If required, turn the heating rotary switch to level 2 for more heating power to easily cut the bottle.
- If the bottle is not cut even on level 3 heating, adjust the heating display value by using the heating display adjusting knob.
- Subsequently, remove the worn-out wire from the machine and replace it with a new wire.
- Insert one end of the wire into the wire holder on the backside and the other end into the wire holder on the front side.
- Tighten the wire by pushing the compression nut and rotating it clockwise.
