Featured Testing Standards for Presto Quality Solutions
Presto Stantest has extensive experience providing force and torque testing solutions to manufacturers and contractors serving the energy sector. Accomplished manufacturers of cross-country and underwater oil, gas, and water pipelines use tensile and compressive tests to confirm the coatings and mechanical integrity. Connectors, valves, and manifolds have to be tested in a way that they can withstand severe working conditions, and electrical contacts (soldered or welded) are to be carefully checked in terms of tensile strength.
As the industry moves to more sustainable and renewable energy solutions, there is a necessity to have reliable, cost-effective quality control tests on the emerging technologies.
Solar energy
Photovoltaic (PV) solar cells are multilayer devices, in many cases containing thin-film solar cells and laid down on surfaces of glass, metal, or polymers. Such layers are stacked into either rigid or semi-flexible modules, and the mechanical resilience to pressure in the environment determines them in the long run.
The main mechanical tests that are to be performed on PV panels are as follows:
- Adhesion strength at initial bonding of EVA to glass, film, or PET—method: 90° or 180° peel test
- Adhesion strength retention after exposure to temperature and humidity extremes, as part of requalifying tests—method: 90° or 180° peel test
- Pull-out strength of MC4 connectors and cables used in the PV junction box
- The Assembly strength of the PV module frame ensures it can withstand load-bearing requirements
- Puncture and flexural strength of the glass
Presto Stantest instruments aid in adherence to the international requirements like ASTM, BS, and DIN and in-house specifications, where they can provide accurate repeatability measurements across all critical test areas.
Our energy sector's versatile force, materials, and torque testers offer viable and affordable solutions to the energy industry with more than 42 years of experience in solving mechanical and quality-control problems in both conventional and renewable energy use.

Tensile Testing Machine Digital
It is highly recommended for evaluating the tensile strength of products and materials. The equipment is based on the Constant Rate of Traverse (CRT) principle. It is equipped with an upper jaw and a lower jaw. Universal Tensile Testing Machine is a reliable piece of equipment which is widely used for checking tensile strength of a product/sample. One of the most common mechanical testing techniques used to determine tensile strength, this is a method wherein controlled tension is applied to a sample until it fully fails.
Thus, the material properties of the sample can be easily determined by this test. It involves measuring the force required to elongate a sample under test to breaking point. Using this test, manufacturers and quality managers are able to determine the core strength of their products.

Salt Spray Chamber (Corrosion Tester) - Patent No. 244580
Salt Spray Chamber is made as per ASTM B117 and JIS 2371 which is used for conducting Neutral Salt Spray Test or NSS test on Meta Surface Coatings. It is used for checking the resistance of the coating towards corrosive environment. The Salt Spray Tester generates an accelerated form of Salt laden environment inside which the specimen are tested for its quality.
Our Salt Spray Chambers come with three different types of specimen-holding fixtures. Those are as follows:
- Panel-type sample holding fixtures
- FRP hanging rods holding fixtures for thick samples
- V-Grooved tray for Fasteners

Spectrophotometer TP900
A color spectrophotometer TP900 is a tool used to study physical samples by reading their full-spectrum color response. It gives more freedom than a colorimeter because it works with different illuminant and observer settings and can function in different geometric setups.
With the D/8 optical layout suggested by CIE, the instrument captures SCI and SCE reflectance data from a sample. It shows major color difference formulas and color indexes across many color spaces with precise output.
The instrument fulfills the standards set by CIE No.15, GB/T 3978, GB 2893, GB/T 18833, 1507724/1, ASTM E1164, and DIN 5033 Teil 7.
