Melt Flow Index - MFR Model (Method - A & B)

Melt Flow Index - MFR Model (Method - A & B)

The new-design MFR Model can quickly extrude the flow rate of molten resins utilizing the advanced setup of load, piston, and a metallic barrel. The specimen, majorly in granule form is put inside the barrel and the piston is inserted. Loads, as per requirement are placed on the piston and the parameters are then selected from the touchscreen display.

This quality lab testing instrument is widely used in the plastic industry for quality control of thermoplastics. The melt flow Index of thermoplastic material is expressed in terms of grams per 10 min of extrudate of molten resins that flow through the heated cylindrical barrel. Also, the melt density (grams/cu.cm) is the essential factor in calculating the melt flow rate by this method. As this method can measure the linear displacement of the Piston.

The MFR Model is specially designed with HMI based Touchscreen display which offers easy operation and recording of test data. The test parameters can be set on-screen and the test can be run automatically. The high precision-based features allow accurate results trusted by the experts.
